Kardashian Backlash to Healthy Eating

Hi all...

Please tell me this is beyond a joke. I'd gathered you would read this as you've immediately seen the name Kardashian. Well, it's all to do with the iconic Kim Kardashian who may seem not so positively popular in the media right now. If you love a good rant (like I do) then you're in for a treat as today's blog post will 100% express the negativity I have right this second. Although I'm not so use to making criticism but it's worth the shot to the post I've just seen.

My criticism is directed to Kim Kardashian and The Flat Tummy Co. I'm guessing you have seen it already because who hasn't?! It's already creating major backlash.

Completely failing to promote healthy eating. It was only just yesterday Kim Kardashian promoted a sponsored post over on Instagram for The Flat Tummy Co who are currently promoting their "appetite suppressing lollipops". I think this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Lollipops? Who comes up with these god awful ideas? The reality star was pictured tucking into this so called treat to encourage her 111 million followers to purchase this product in order to help weight loss. This is toxic and horrific. I would like to meet the person who thought this was a good idea and slap them in the face.

If you've never heard of The Flat Tummy Co well please don't be interested. If you think it's okay to promote this brand because they're doing something right for people then please stop reading. Their whole brand is centered around achieving a flat stomach with their Flat Tummy Shakes, debloating teas and now their controlled hunger lollipops. I know everyone's dream is to have a flat stomach but for a whole brand's message and story to be based around this idea is so dangerous, unhealthy and most of all pathetic. From my point of view I see this brand are intentionally trying to make people feel uncomfortable with their physical appearance. I never say I'm right but they are basically making their brand to be bloody ridiculous and now they've introduced suppressing lollipops is beyond.

Back to the Kardashian who believes she's doing something good in the world. Does even realise that she is on plenty (over a million) of young girls social media feed. Did she think it was okay for people to be dishearted about their bodies. That's what it seems like now.

I may be over reacting but I believe that trying to achieve a flat stomach while feasting on this bullshit is a complete joke. By the way lets not forget the young, naïve and impressionable young women who will buy into this toxic product because their role model does. Kim Kardashian couldn't of picked a more worst company to partner with.

P.s let's not forget that potentially The Flat Tummy Co are getting their money's worth from young women's low self esteem and hatred towards their bodies. Thank you for reading,
