House of Hackney

Hi all...

Just a quick blog post today, I wanted to let you know about the popular brand House of Hackney. This is currently my inspiration for my next assignment and I'm already in love with their extreme taste in interior design. If I had a house already, I'm sure there would be a dozen or so of their maximalist and beautiful designs.

If you've not heard much of the brand, well I have some info for you...

Currently this is the best emerging Luxury Brand of 2017, House of Hackney is a modern British retail establishment beloved for its playful approach to print and commitment to British manufacturing. Bringing a passion for Victoriana in it’s electric glory with wonderfully weird & wild designs.

Through their luxurious interiors, fashion & lifestyle that sings traditional British décor, this meets the eye with contemporary trends and humour that’s just in its words 'typically British.' House of Hackney stand upon creating unique and inspiring designs and will continue to make iconic interiors.

Founded by Husband and Wife team, Frieda Gormley and Javvy M Royle back in 2011 while sitting around a kitchen table in East London both sharing a passion for interiors. Since opening in 2013 in London the pair have ever since created beautiful products for daring consumers looking for something timeless yet unique. The modern retailer plays in a quirky world of its own and it’s no surprising that their consumer would have a taste for exotic animals and exuberant prints as these signature prints appeal to both men and women with a broadened age range who are destined for a change with bold print and colour. Alongside a passion for interior design.

I guess there's no surprise that the Dalston Rose Print was nominated for

Best British Pattern design in 2011, inspired by the English countryside.

Their story reworks tradition into new generation. They are a brand that celebrates Print, colour and texture. Rebelling against the endless ‘beige’ aesthetic of the time. They are set to what we have been searching for. They are communicating their story through modern maximalism and English nostalgia. The luxurious British design house is reimagining interiors through an array of lush foliage, animals and eye dropping prints of flowers. Specifically inspired by the ‘typically’ British environment.
