Kim Kardashian vs Jean Paul Gaultier

May is here! So here is what's been across social media this week.

"Jean Paul Gaultier called and wants his perfume bottle back."

In the news this week, Kim Kardashian has recently released the design of her newly accomplished perfume bottle which has people's heads turned, in particular Jean Paul Gaultier's.

Jean Paul Gaultier has thrown shade at Kim Kardashian as she is accused of stealing Gaultier's iconic perfume bottle design efforts back from 1993 (known for being in the shape of a human torso) and will always be the standard image of a Gaultier fragrance.

Kim whose latest fragrance KKW Body, comes in a sculptured shaped bottle moulded from the shape of her actual body never intended to copy Gaultier's bottles although people are beginning to see the noticeable similarities between the two.

Not so shockingly though, Kim has sparked up a huge amount of publicity for her actions from stripping completely naked for her new perfume. Although Kim has been hitting hard back at the claims that she had copied Gaultier. Sculptures had always been inspiration to Kim Kardashian & admired to create something personal (hence her exact mould of her body. She also claims that she's "always loved the Jean Paul Gaultier bottles."

In my opinion, you can see a clearly the differences between the two. The KKW Body fragrance design, it has added shoulders, belly button detail and it's obvious the design is naked. Unlike Gaultier, it is a design of a female figure wearing a corset.

Is there actually a legal battle here? Probably not.
