"There's always been knock off culture" - Renzo Rosso, founder

Fake knock off goods are everywhere, ripping off actual designer brands. So what can you do? Join in on the fun of course. Earlier this week Diesel introduced Deisel, a brand of fakes. Little did we know these fakes were actually real, one of a kind pieces. The irony we never would expect.

As part of its #Gowiththeflaw campaign, Diesel has promoted its own knock off collection of fake goods inside a cheap-looking stall on New York City's Canal street. Somehow it's all real, limited edition products inside an actual, official Diesel store that's disguised into a blatant knock off boutique. It's part of their Spring/Summer 2018 campaign which looks into the flaw within fashion of fake goods. Diesel celebrates the uniqueness and focus of flaws through the style of fake goods. To wear imperfection with pride and inspire people to accept their flaws.

Diesel exaggerates well the ability to be playful and reverses the rules of fashion. Alongside humour, taken into account the seriousness, Diesel settles down the values of today's style choices & gives the people a chance to feel free to wear whatever they want. You see streetwear today and that's no fun and games, the ability to embrace insecurity is hardly top of the list on a designer's to do list. Diesel (Or perhaps 'deisel') demonstrates imperfection is the new pretty. Diesel, the brand caped in high quality goods with the added touch of a deliberately misspelt logo fits wonderfully into that positioning. Surely their reputation is glowing as they are brave enough to venture off fashion values to find their own unique path. There's only one more thing left to say and that is, keep the World's flaws.

With Love
