A little something about Pinterest

In this blog post I wanted to talk shortly about my interest in a social media app that is my absolute favourite for research and inspirational ideas. Yes..I'm sure you already know what I'm talking about (and not just by the title!) as I'm 100% certain everybody knows about Pinterest. If you've never used this before, I would get started and take a sneak peak on what you're missing.

Pinterest is simple & easy to use. It is an easy way to get ideas and inspiration for just about anything you could really imagine. I use Pinterest for inspiration for everything. I gather research for different projects first off just by looking at ideas through Pinterest. For me it is basically a brain stormer, a little something that goes along way.

Make up Inspiration, Hair Inspiration, Interior design ideas all the way to planning what I'm going to wear on a night out.

For the last year I've used Pinterest pretty much all the time when it came to upcoming projects. When planning a photography shoot I used this over and over again to gather ideas. Whether they were big or small ideas, I was keen to develop these from being inspired by the collection images I 'pinned' onto my Pinterest Profile.

The app also recognises what you have previously searched for. Although you may think that this is a weird thing to love about an app and why? Well, the app recognises what you've searched for previously and gathers images and links that you may seem interested in onto your home page. I reckon that's a smart idea for getting even quicker results.

I must be honest, I've even searched for 'Mood board' inspiration just because I even need help layering out photographs for a mood board!

If you love organising (like I most certainly do) you'd be a fan of categorising and organising different images you've saved into different folders.

Even though Pinterest has been out for a long time, I feel as though the majority of people have only just gotten started to get into it. Like myself for the past year I'd pretty much spend everyday gathering images so I do love the concept of the idea behind the app. It is probably one of the most useful apps that I have on my phone.

I think some social media apps are becoming less popular. For example, Tumblr. It may just be me but I've never gotten round to using Tumblr or have known people to use Tumblr as part of their social media groupings.

I've only just gotten round to using Pinterest for a living!

So far I must say that it is such a popular and hugely loveable app.
