Graduate Fashion Week, The Old Truman Brewery, London 2017. Late Spring I was back in college when I volunteered to take a trip down to London for the day along with students studying Fashion Retail. Yes, It was many months ago but I wanted to reflect back onto this years events I took part in. Travelling down to London for 'GFW2017' was one of my favourites. Since then I've posted plenty of images on social media. Only to share my experience!
Catwalks, the biggest brands and loads of freebies! (Well it's not just about the free stuff..)
The annual event features 22 catwalk shows, exhibitions from big brands and Universities, live talks and workshops featuring leading names from the fashion industry. In addition an acclaimed Gala Award Show is introduced every year, awarding the years most creative and inspiring students.
Graduate Fashion Week is one of the world's most important sources of new talent for the global design industry and represents the future of creative talent. Final year graduates from Universities showing their final work from a whole range of fashion courses. It showcases imagination and possibilities, shaping the way fashion works as well as looks. GFW showcases the work of over 1000 best graduates and best students from the most inspiring Universities.
GTW is the ideal opportunity to discover the future of fashion.

(Big brands with the likes of Boohoo.com, George, M&S, Boux Avenue)
GFW bridges the gap between graduation and employment. It is responsible for launching careers of some of the most successful designers including Christopher Bailey MBE who was the winner of the first ever Graduate Fashion Week Gold Award. Other designers include the likes of Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon and Matthew Williamson.
