"Say it with your chest!"

Of course fashion has always served as a form of self expressionism. So this was the outspoken trend of the summer. Here we welcome the slogan tees. Perhaps this has always been around but it has only just drawn to me that the popularity and the love to express yourself (in either humour or on a serious note) has been the high street trend this year. Of course Topshop had to be in the mix of retail stores being catchphrase crazy, even Zara were among the trend starters selling t-shirts that were a bargain from £5.99. Whether you're a free spirit or not, I feel you can always express your outfit with a classic, bold statement printed over a basic coloured shirt.

There is three reasons why people choose to wear the slogan tee.

To make a political (or other) statement

To draw attention to yourself through your choice of clothing

To follow fashion trends.

At least the words do get round. Well at least to those you interact with. Although overall, wearing the basic iconic slogan t-shirt says we're not afraid to make a point in public. We can handle the feedback and response. I strongly agree with this but is particularly true for political statements. Still today, the slogan t-shirt is becoming a huge craze into becoming a political fashion statement. The fashion industry is populated with the outcasts, minorities, women and gays. Fashion designers are growing to use their platforms to make a stand in the only way they know they can win, with clothes.
